Filed under: Create Your Own Christmas Cards, How To

NOTE: These are simple instructions based on Windows XP. If you are using another operating system or these instructions don’t work for your version of Windows, do a Google search for “how to install fonts your-operating-system” and you should find some helpful tutorials online.

Step by Step Font Installation

  1. Download the fonts you want to use and save them somewhere you can find them. For example, create a folder called “fonts” on your desktop and put them there.
  2. After downloading, open the folder with the fonts. Extract the font files (unzip them) into the same folder.
NOTE: You will need software for unzipping the files. If you don’t have this, do a Google search for “compression software”.
  3. Go to your Start Menu and select Control Panel.
  4. Click on Fonts.
  5. Go to the File menu and select Install New Font.
  6. In the Install New Font box, find the folder where you put your unzipped font files. Once you’ve opened the folder in this box, the font files should appear on the list.
  7. Click on the Select All button to select the font files, then click OK to install the fonts.
